Description

Byredo Havana Tonka was launched in 2026 as part of the Night Veils Collection.  Created by Jerome Epinette, and creating this amazing balance between a little sweet and boozy and tobacco -  it has notes of rum, pink pepper, bergamot, tobacco, white suede, violet, cashmere wood, tonka bean, benzoin, skin, musk and patchoulii.  Byredo Havana Tonka is and extrait.

From the brand - "Part of Byredo’s Night Veils collection of highly concentrated extraits de parfum, Havana Tonka captures the evocative sensuality of Havana's golden nights. Built around a bespoke interpretation of roasted tonka bean, the fragrance opens with bergamot, rum and pink peppercorn, softened by the creamy sweetness of crème brûlée. At the heart, the smoky richness of tobacco leaves accord blends with violet, cashmere wood and white suede, creating a textured and enveloping depth. As the fragrance evolves, roasted tonka bean absolute unfolds alongside patchouli, resinoid and skin musks, revealing an addictive richness and leaving a lingering trail on the skin. A rich composition where rum, tobacco leaves and roasted tonka intertwine, echoing the ambered atmosphere of Havana after dark."

Founded in 2006 in Sweden, Byredo perfume's creator Ben Gorham (former basketball player) wanted to create perfumes of quality while keeping their production in Sweden. Gorham had been fascinated with fragrance much of his life. When he meet Pierre Wulff, a perfumer, Byredo came into being. Currently Gorham works with Olivia Giacobetti and Jerome Epinette to create his line of perfumes

 Byredo Havana Tonka reviews

Fragrantica - " tried this one, and I am blown away. It is the only perfume I have tested that keeps me coming back for more It is such an intense cocktail berry smell, boozy but fresh and so addictive."

Fragrantica - "A very warm, cozy, and enveloping fragrance. What I especially love about it is the combination of the pleasant sweetness of crème brûlée with the bitter, slightly astringent tobacco leaf and a warm, resinous touch. The sweetness here is not cloying - it is soft and creamy, like a delicate caramel veil, while the tobacco adds depth, a dry, slightly bitter edge, and character to the fragrance. Havana Tonka feels incredibly warm and cocooning- it literally wraps around the skin like a soft cashmere blanket. A very cozy and comforting fragrance, yet refined and sophisticated, and one that feels especially beautiful in cool weather."

Fragrantica - "This has an almost edible grilled hazelnut creamy spread opening that is slightly boozy and dies down to Benjoine Boheme. I like it, 2 for the price of one. It is split right down the middle and still well blended but with a clear distinction. This is not like anything I have smelled from Byredo."
