Description

Slow World is a fragrance inspired by tea ceremonies during quiet mornings, where suddenly the world seems slow... A calming soft embrace wherever you are, carrying the whiffs of dreamy incense whispering earthy, woody and sweet secrets. A fragrance inspired by Chinese fermented black tea, Pu'er tea. Dried fruits and honey accentuate the fruity notes in dragon's blood resin to create a sweet and resinous amber fragrance with incense providing a smoky undertone which recreates the traditional tea ceremony. Beautiful and meditative, it features tea extracts made in-house from precious loose leaf a process requiring delicate control of extraction conditions and cycles in a Soxhlet apparatus to collect an aromatic concentrate - rarely found in mainstream perfume.

Slow World features notes of Pu'er tea, saffron, dragon's blood resin, malt, sandalwood, vanilla bean and incense. It is an eau de parfum, edp created at up to 20% oil concentration.

Fragrantica: "A little goes a looooong way and this sticks like crazy to skin and clothes. It's dark and mysterious, smoky and sweet. The vanilla doesn't tip into a straightforward sweet gourmand at any point; the malt and tea keep it earthy. I love this but I have to really be in the mood for it - it's hard to get off you once it's on and I can still smell it 12+ hours after spraying."

Fragrantica: "Edible, sweet, comforting. Makes me think of digestive biscuits and browned butter. Sweet, thick vanilla gourmand with complexity. Wear it when life is hard and I need a simple comfort from scent, but still some layers of interest."

Fragrantica: "Another beautiful organic smelling herbal tea fragrance from this line. Vanillic, woody, smoky and deep, with a hint of sweetness and bitter tea leaf tannins. Evokes rainy autumn imagery. Soaked autumn leaves under grey skies in the suburbs, cold gusty winds, and hot steam curling and spiraling from a ceramic mug full of tea."

Fragrantica: "I LOVE this scent! To me, the opening smells like a jammy thumbprint cookie, but not overly sweet. I think it might be the combination of malt, dragon's blood, and vanilla giving me that impression, because there aren't any fruity notes listed. The dry down is smokey, soft, dark, and complex."

Fragrantica: "Slightly herbal, and the incense note ? makes it feel bitter but the vanilla brings it together really well!!! I love herbal scents and this is a easy 9/10"

Fragrantica: "Thick, resinous and sweet. A rich, warm vanilla with a background of tea and smoky woods. There's a slight bitterness from what I'm assuming is the tea. It's quite smoky on the dry down due to the incense, with sort of a gingery sweetness. This would be beautiful in the winter! Unfortunately incense comes off more masculine on my skin so I don't think this one is right for me but I can see this being really suitable on others."
