Costamor Sugarwood is a soft, woody, almost gourmand-like perfume, with a surprise twist: the sweet and strikingly fresh scent of newly cut sugar cane. Sugar cane is a cultivated crop in Costa Rica but it thrives so well in the idyllic climate that you find it growing wild, ready to be savored on a whim. This cherished treat inspired Sugarwood, which features sugar cane pulp as a primary note.
Costamor was established in 2009 by Elizabeth Wright from California who is half Costa Rican. She dedicated her perfume line to Costa Rica and uses notes from the plants and elements indigenous to there.
Luscious fig complements the sweetness, while warm cedar evokes the woody aspect of the plant. Gentle floral notes - ethereal jasmine, lilting peony and a powdery iris - meld beautifully to create a feminine scent that is the ideal balance of sweet and sophisticated. The full listing of notes is bergamot, fig, sugar cane pulp, peony, jasmine, musk, iris, vanilla and cedarwood. Sugarwood is an eau de parfum, edp.
