Creed Centaurus was released in 2024. A unisex fragrance launched as part of the Oriental Universe collection - inspired by the Centaurus constellation, it has notes of tobacco, cinnamon, cardamom, black pepper, sandalwood, patchouli, heliotrope, jasmine, geranium, benzoin, bourbon vanilla, tolu balsam, tonka bean and ambroxan. Creed Centaurus is an eau de parfum, edp.
From the brand - "Inspired by one of the largest constellations, Centaurus is a universal woody amber perfume that burns bright with plumes of incandescent tobacco ignited by potent pink pepper, fiery cinnamon and spicy cardamom. This dazzling display is tempered by the voluptuous light of sandalwood, the delicate hues of jasmine and the gentle glow of heliotrope, reminiscent of stars blooming in the night sky. The sensual woody amber backdrop of Centaurus is painted with the forceful presence of patchouli, the dark honeyed notes of tonka bean and the deep richness of Bourbon vanilla, which together leave an enduring star-powered glow."
Fragrantica - "Reminiscent of Morton & Bassett Cinnamon, Bookers Rare Cut Bourbon, Black, Barrel Aged Tobacco, and syrupy A&W Cream Soda, Centaurus is an unabashedly mass-appeal fragrance with a dry down that’s heroin level addictive. Although time will tell, I hope it enjoys all the love and controversy that any popular Creed fragrance deserves."
Fragrantica - "It's very sirupy, dense, warm and spicy. It has a classy touch overall, i feel like it's closer to grand soir than spicebomb to my nose. The first hour is veeeery sirupy, sticky. Once it settles it's a cinnamon heavy bomb, like a stick drowning in this hot ambery sirupy oil. After some hours i smell tobacco and it's my favourite part. After one day i got waffles of sexy spicy tobacco coming through, but when i get my nose on my arm it still smells sirupy, so i would say it smells different when you get your nose on, than from distance. Overall it's a spicy sirupy scent with a hint of elegance, i feel like it's very beautiful, sexy, classy and i'm quite happy with the purchase."
Fragrantica - "I have a sample and what I like about this fragrance is when most of the sweetness of the top notes have faded (everyone seems focussed on those sweet top notes ), at least if you have the patience to wait for it, there's a vintage masculine base revealing. Dry , dirty (cardamom?) , a bit dusty , warm (sandalwood, tolu). A bit like those early nineties fragrances. Big thumbs up! I 'm amazed to see some guys complaining about longevity...my sample literary lasts hours on me."
