Fragrantica - "Please stop making comments that confuse people. It does not smell like Givenchy Gentleman Eau de Toilette Intense and it does not smell like Gris Charnel. I own all three fragrances. And yes, all three have iris, that’s it. None of the three are that similar to each other—30% at the very most. Gris Charnel starts out sweeter and the dry-down is completely different from Iris Debonair. They are like night and day. Now, having said that, I love all three fragrances and they smell delicious. The most elegant of them all is Iris Debonair. Gris Charnel is the driest and most fruity, and the one people like the least. And the Givenchy one is the woodiest of the three."
Fragrantica - "I am a certified iris hater, so I was expecting to absolutely detest this, but I didn’t. The iris is smooth, pleasant, and it pairs nicely with the other materials in this fragrance. I dislike the lipsticky quality iris tends to contribute to fragrances, but it didn’t do that here. It was floral, slightly sweet, and once dried down, powdery smooth."
