Dior Dioriginal Dune was launched in 2026. This relaunch was reworked by Francis Kurkdjian after the original that was created in 1991 by Jean-Louis Sieuzac and Dominque Ropion. This fragrance is an olfactory portrait of comfort. It feels like a seaside garden with ocean mist and white flowers and a little wood.
Notes of black currant bud absolute and mandarin notes, rose and jasmine notes, woody accord. Christian Dior Dioriginal Dune is an eau de toilette, edt.
This is the 2026 formulation of Dior Dioriginal Dune.
From Fragrantica - "It’s good. Very, very good. There is a sparkle to it throughout the evolution which is highly appealing. Clear, crisp, and slightly weird in the best possible way. Excellent longevity. Stands confident without shouting. Absolutely takes me back to the 90s."
From Fragrantica - "I contested most of their recent releases, but Francis did a great job with this line, they are sparkling, vintage yet wearable. As soon as I saw and smelled them, I felt that somehow magic has been restored at Dior."
From Fragrantica - "I have never smelled the original so I'm here to give my brand new opinion... I love it. So much! It's everything I love in a fragrance. At first it is earthy and vegetal (sounds weird, but I get "artichokes"). Soon it is warm and ambery, very oriental (drool). I also get "balsam" notes. Now it isn't listed, but it's just me. The dry down is sweeter than expected, but so comforting. It is also surprisingly long lasting considering it is an EDT. There's a lot of hate out there for these new Dioriginals. I cannot wait to experience more!"
From Fragrantica - "Agree with review on this new formulation, after finally getting to try it. If you consider the restrictions imposed now, FK has done a really good job with this in trying to stay as faithful to the original as possible, while having a whisper of his own signature (imho) without detracting from it. To my nose, the heart is actually warmer in this one than the vintage that I have. Happily adding this to my collection once I've decided on which of the rest to include."
