Dior Dioriginal Jules 2026 is a new release of the original fragrance but created by Francis Kurkdjian. It was inspired by the original creater Jean Martel's 1980 composition with adjustments. The 2026 version kept the animalic, leather-led profile making this a bold masculine fragrance.
It is a Aromatic Green fragrance. Notes of Amber, Animal notes, lavender, leather, cedar, moss, patchouli, sandalwood, spicy notes, tonka bean, woody notes and vetiver.
This is an eau de toilette version of the fragrance.
From Fragrantica - "its perfect. everything about it is perfect. I’ve smelled the original fragrance, and I can definitely smell the resemblance. You can tell they share the same DNA. Because of today’s restrictions on ingredients, I don’t think we’ll ever get the exact 1980 scent back, but I think this is as close as we’re going to get. I think they did a great job preserving the character of the original.'"
From Fragrantica - "I have just purchased this perfume from the Dior online store, and I currently also own the 2016 version. I don't notice any significant differences compared to the first version, whose fragrance I remember very well, except for a lesser longevity and projection. In my opinion, this version is superior to the 2016 one and is a safe blind buy for those who are familiar with this 1980s perfumery masterpiece, which, in my view, is not dated at all.'"
From Fragrantica - "The fragrance has a beautiful drydown where you can clearly recognize Francis Kurkdjian’s signature. It is beautifully crafted, but not overly pretty, it keeps its edge. It might be slightly more sophisticated, but I am very happy with it. For me, Jules made a wonderful comeback."
