Dior Miss Dior was launched in 1947. Created by Jean Carles and Paul Vacher, it is a chypre floral. This is the Oakmoss-laden dominatrix of perfumes. This is old world glamour with stilettos and feminine wiles of the softest kind - contrasts between a toughness and a sweet ladylike softness. This was released shortly after Dior's "New Look" collection's wild success. Michael Edwards notes that the perfume was influenced by Coty Chypre and Balmain Vent Vert and that Dior asked his perfumers to create a perfume that felt like falling in love.
Notes of sage, gardenia, galbanum, rose, neroli, jasmine, oakmoss, patchouli, cistus and labdanum.
