With top notes of mandarin, plum nectar and acai; middle notes of peony petals, iris flower and violet leaf; and base notes of amber crystals, cashmere woods and sugared musks. Fragrantica: “This is lovely! I’m a huge fan of EB’s earlier works, but haven’t really connected with the latest fruity gourmands. I blind-bought a travel size of this b/c it has iris, and it sounded nice. I’m glad I did! The opening 10 min are a little reminiscent of Swedish Fish, which is surprisingly good! The drydown is pretty and warm and kind of floral. It’s cheerful and sweet- but wearable for a non-gourmand and fruity perfume lover. I can see reaching for this when I want an easy, pleasing wear.”
Fragrantica: “Not what I was expecting based on the notes, but still really pleasant. I wish they were a bit more adventurous with this because I second the opinions that it's entirely too commercial, too shampooey. That being said I think it will still make a good, crowd pleasing evening scent for the summer when it's hot and I don't want to make myself or those around me choke on something heavy. I get a lot more peony and mandarin than iris, violet, or plum. Happy I only bought a travel, but I think it will still get worn.”
Fragrantica: “Sooooo the opening is actually breath taking! The juicy plum note is heavenly and I really enjoy this…. until the dry down comes in. this dries down into a soapy clean scent that just isn’t it for me. It that soapy kinda scent that kinda leaves a taste in your mouth (if you know what I mean). maybe layered with the right scent it would smell great but I fear the soapy dry down is on the stronger side so idk how that would play out. I love Ellis Brooklyn just as much as I love Kayali but this one wasn’t it for me unfortunately.”
Fragrantica: “Fizzy plum cocktail! or a plum flavored Italian soda. Really refreshing & def shampooey. PLSmells said it smells like an herbal essences shampoo, and I can confirm. It just smells really pleasant. I wouldn't say this is date night - date night to me is like, something seductive. This has 0 darkness to it, it's just a happy scent. More outdoor boozy brunch than date night. Not ground breaking, not mind blowing, just uplifting. I think it would smell amazing over something woody. I did grab a full bottle cause I like herbal essences, lol.”
