Eric Buterbaugh Florals Oud Rose was launched in late 2017. Eric Buterbaugh is a florist who caters to the stars - he is the resident florist for the Four Seasons LA. After years of working with flowers where much of the scent has been pruned out, Buterbaugh has launched a series of perfumes centered around specific flowers that smell great. He gave Firmenich free reign to create the floral series without regard to market research or cost. This is a line of very plush, luxe soliflores.
Eric Buterbuagh Oud Rose was envisioned as a fragrance that "would be both independent and nurturing." Notes of oud, rose, vanilla, incense and vetiver.
Fragrantica: "This one opens with a honeyed rose petals. There’s a sharp oud and notes of black coffee. And there’s an unusual latex-like thing going on that I think is the oud. And yes, it’s the oud. As I wear Oud Rose, it becomes more of its namesake. It’s an oud-rose with leather with a hint of bitter, green tobacco. It dries down to a powdery incense."
