Frederic Malle Geranium Pour Monsieur was released in 2009, created by Master Perfumer, Dominique Ropion. Geranium Pour Monsieur was inspired by Malle's memory of old, rich soaps from his childhood. Geranium from China was mixed with rhodinol, anise and mint, and the natural notes were treated in a way to strenghten them. It is a fresh fragrance combined with natural elements. Notes of mint absolute, peppermint oil, Chinese geranium oil, CO2, clove, white musk, ambroxan, sandalwood, resinoid incense and Siamese styrax benzoin.
From Portia at Perfume Posse - "Sometimes I wonder where to wear Geranium Pour Monsieur, in my head it needs a certain environment to work, then I grab it and spritz for random things and enjoy it immensely for the fun, interesting and wonderful piece of frippery that it is. If it takes you more than half an hour to get to work then Geranium Pour Monsieur could work for you, it’s a little intense in its initial burst. Same advice with eating in case it overpowers in its first half hour and you only taste your Geranium Pour Monsieur and not your yummy food. I get 4-6 hours depending and a second spritz at any time during its life will give you up to 12 hours fragrant."

This smells like the perfumer simply diluted geranium oil and tossed in sandalwood and a touch of almond. Other than that, it smells watery and thin. The stuff lasts just 1 hour on my skin. You could get basically the same effect if you let geranium oil diffuse in a room.
