Frederic Malle Rose & Cuir was created by Jean-Claude Ellena and launched in Fall 2019. This fragrance is meant to interpret rose in a very modern way - to control the sensuality of the rose with the other leather. A rose that is and isn't.
Notes of rose, pepper, geranium bourbon, cassis, vetiver, cedar, leather make up this EDP, eau de parfum.

I greatly admire Jean Claude Ellena's work so I had to sample this fragrance. It's a beautiful rose with a rather strong leather note. I am not a big fan of strong leather notes, but JCE makes it work here. Well crafted composition, perfect for men and women who want a deeper, different, rose fragrance. I prefer softer leather notes as in Hermes Kelly Caleche EDP, but if strong, muscular leather is your thing, definitely try this one.
