Description

Contrabando is a woody fragrance that launched in 2026. From their website: An expansive composite of Ocotillo, Orris, and Desert Rain. Somewhere between myth and memory lies Contrabando. Built as a backdrop for many of the Western shows and movies that defined an era, it was never a place anyone called home. Yet, this old film set in West Texas is as much a ghost town as any other–a fiction that became truth through time and neglect. The fine line between legend and imagination is the inspiration for our fragrance Contrabando. It is fresh and vivid, with bergamot zest, ambrette, and the green pulse of ocotillo. The mineral hush of desert rain collides with powdery orris, evoking raindrops falling on the sun-scorched earth. At last, the warm and familiar scents of cedar and leather appear—notes that remind us that every myth begins with something real.

Contrabando features top notes of bergamot zest, cucumber and ambrette; middle notes of galbanum, orris and ocotillo; and base notes of cedarwood, patchouli and soft leather. It is an extrait de parfum.

FULTON & ROARK CONTRABANDO REVIEWS

Fragrantica: "My new favorite scent. It’s very clean and woody and surprisingly fresh. It has a green edge but not crazy strong green notes. The iris is very well blended and doesn’t come off as lipsticky and the cucumber also blends in very well. It does what it says and really reminds me of the desert in Utah."

Fragrantica: "I am obsessed with this scent. On me it gives such a nice vibe - I feel like I’m in an old western TV show - maybe Gunsmoke - the way Matt Dillon would smell- it’s so rustic and edgy. I was afraid it would be powdery (like baby powder) because of the orris. It’s so dry and smells like the dry sand. Like walking out in a desert and smelling it with the heat. This probably isn’t the best for spring (I feel spring needs a more dewy vibe) but this is so dry, dirty and I just love it."
