Convergence Zone is the scent of late summer light rain on a cool day as it hits thirsty evergreen trees and dusty soil, bringing a comfortable slight dampness back to the Northwest air, finally chasing away the haziness. A convergence zone is formed by the interaction of two prevailing winds that cause a series of storms or calm ongoing rain to concentrate in one location. In Washington's Puget Sound region, the Olympic Mountains split wind which then joins up again. Then the familiar convergence zone tends to form near north Seattle around the Snohomish County line, and sometimes it can rain, hail or snow there in an area of just a few miles for hours while the rest of the region stays drier, or even under blue skies. Convergence Zone is an eau de parfum, edp.
Reddit: Grassy with a feeling of natural dampness. It smells kind of like grass and freshly snapped green peas. There's a feeling of dirt, but it's very clean. There's a very natural sweetness to it that keeps it approachable and friendly, rather than an angry storm that wants to smite you as you cower in your car. All in all, an amazing atmospheric.
Reddit: This the one I feel like the most accurate of the bunch. It smells exactly like a hot humid day. Like the day that start already hot and humid and you know it will only gets worse until late afternoon when you finally get the rainy storm that will ultimately cool the air. I get all of this and the evergreen in the background. It's for me best atmospheric of all of them. I accidentally wore it on a day like that and I couldn't smell the difference between the actual air outside and my wrists!
