Gallup Angora Oud was released in 2020, created by Amyllia Gallup. It is an Art and Olfaction Finalist in the Independent Category for 2021/22. A really gorgeous, soft, addictive fragrance that lives in similar territory to Delina, but without that note that bites your nose. It is all plush and easy to wear. It is always great to have a new perfumer make such a great splash with a great fragrance.
Notes of lime, orange, osmanthus, fur, violet, cloves, agarwood(oud), pine tree, woods and musk. It is an extrait.
From the brand - "Angora Oud is Unisex scent with an eclectic array of sensory perceptions combining architecture, space, shape and texture wrapped in a cozy swathe of warmth. Gallup Angora Oud REVIEWS
I Sniff Before I Sleep - "This fragrance is to me all about sweet piquancy and zesty fruits (osmanthus, clove, lime, orange) swathed in fuzzy layers of a pleasing angora accord (no real rabbit materials were tinctured or used). The angora sweater sensation is conferred very well, but I also think of soft cotton balls and fluffy bunny tails. The floral aspect (violet) remains in the background and seems to come more through as edible, yet ethereal sugared petals, the kind you would decorate a cake with. The fragrance is rounded by a buttery base composed of a smooth, lightly animalic oud, silky woods, and full-bodied musks. A slight camphoraceous vein (perhaps conferred by the pine) prevents the whole composition from becoming heavy and overly sweet."
