Giorgio Armani Code was introduced in 2004 and has become a yearly award winner when voted by consumers. It won the FiFi Award Fragrance of the Year Men's Luxe in 2006. Created by Antoine Lie, it has notes of bergamot, lemon, star anise, olive blossom, guaiac wood, leather, tobacco and tonka bean.
From Fragrantica - "It's a true classic that has the right balance of freshness that carries itself through to the sweeter stages of this scent's life without becoming cloying or overbearing, sort of like a cream-sweet fizzy drink but in the best way possible."
From Basenotes - "This is a broad-shouldered Italian with a lot of breast-hair, sweaty armpits, drenched in cigarette-smoke wearing just a black speedo, cheap slippers and a golden Rolex asking you for a date with his mouth full of chocolate and succeeds. You have no idea how that worked, but it just did."
Fragrantica: "Its warm, spicy, sweet and addictive scent. Very sophisticated and elegant. I also think there is a beautiful tobacco note that lingers around."
