Description

Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee was launched in 2022, created by Nathalie Lorson and Olivier Cresp. An amber vanilla with notes of bergamot, iris, chestnut, whiskey, woods and amber. Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee is an eau de parfum, edp.

Fragrantica - "10/10, my favorite fragrance alongside Gentleman EdP - pretty much this is taking out the vanilla creaminess of EdP and adding woody and whiskey - and it's amazing. I don't think I have ever smelled anything better and my friend says I smell like dryer sheets, his favorite smell. Out of everyone I have asked they point to this for the best scent I have out of 50 ish samples and bottles."

    Good but not for everyone

    I ordered a 2ml decant of this fragrance. To my nose, the prominent notes are whiskey, iris, and chest nut. This is probably the most boozy fragrance i've ever smelled. I did like the iris and chest nut notes as they are pleasant and blend well in the dry down. Getting back to the boozy aspect of this fragrance, the initial spray is like if you spilled an entire shot of whiskey on your shirt. Jokes aside it has a very strong opening. This is definitely a masculine fragrance. This is a mature fragrance profile. I can see this being a more fall/winter scent as it could become cloying in warm weather. Someone that likes their whiskey and wants to wear it in a scent would enjoy this.
