Description

Gucci Bamboo reflects confidence and femininity. It is designed for the modern women whose character is multifaceted; the fragrance is intense, graceful and gentle at the same time. Bamboo features top notes of Italian bergamot and orange blossom; middle notes of Casablanca lily and ylang-ylang; and base notes of sandalwood, Tahitian vanilla and amber. It is an eau de parfum, edp.

    After reading a description of this fragrance, I had to try it. Floral & woody sounded right to my taste. It's definitely floral. A a lovely floral, very pretty & feminine. I don't pick up "woody" in the way I understand woody. If there is woody-ness I would say it's like taking a piece of spring sapling & breaking it in half. It won't snap like dry wood, but bend & reveal a fresh, somewhat creamy green aroma. This is a quiet scent that would be perfect for work spaces. It doesn't announce itself. It's close to the skin for the wearer & someone in close proximity. So the sillage, on me, was minimal. But it is very long lasting! I could still smell it on my skin when I woke up the next day. I have heard it described as "ladylike", nice word but sounds a bit stodgy to me. This is young & classic.
