Wonderful, slightly naughty orange bloossom.
I had to have a decant. This is a great orange blossom. Not nearly as "naughty" as vintage Bal a Versaille, but still great.
Gucci EDP 2002 is a revelation. Mainstream perfume houses used to make siren song fragrances like this, and then somewhere in the '90s they stopped and made safer things. Gucci EDP got by the "safe fragrance police" at Gucci. It features notes of heliotrope, orange blossom, orris, vanilla, citrus, cumin, musk and thyme. Cumin makes it naughty, the thyme-orange blossom opening makes you take notice, and that lovely musky vanilla heliotrope smooths it all over so you don't really care. This has been discontinued and is getting harder to find.
Fragrantica: "this fragrance is classy, eccentric and mysterious all at once"
Fragrantica: "This one is sweet but also refreshing in a way that I find addictive on a warm evening. The honeyed pear combined with a crisp white flower and refined patchouli, is modern and classy."
