Description

Gucci The Eyes of the Tiger was launched in 2019 as part of The Alchemist's Garden Collection.   A collection that is inspired by alchemy, using natural plants augmented with modern molecules.  Each is intended to tell a story of a place, a moment, a season, a memory.

Working with Alessandro Michele, created by Alberto Morillas, it is an oriental with notes of amber, ciste resin and dark vanilla.  It takes its inspiration from amber -  the "soul of the tiger" that enters the earth and becomes a stone.  It is the imagined journey into the soul of the tiger.

Gucci The Eyes of the Tiger (The Alchemist's Garden) Reviews

From Fragrantica - "Lovely toasty amber - warm, golden, slightly sweet and drying down to reveal more of the labdanum."

From Fragrantica - "A beautiful composition of ambergris and rock rose blended perfectly with the highest quality vanilla I've ever smelled, wow stunning."

    Not at this price point

Goes on like an old fashioned amber with cedar-y perfume tang but in a loud way I don’t care for. Smells vintage in an aging way. Dry down is a much better vanilla amber that I really like, but there is still a kick of metallic perfume. At this point, I love it, though it’s not different enough to merit the price tag. No real projection or sillage at all. If it was cheap, I’d buy a huge bottle, but it's too pricey to bathe in.

    Dark, resonant amber

A strong statement fragrance of resins, spices and woods. A well done offering by Alberto Morillas. This is not a soft amber, it's a fragrance that makes a statement with an exclamation point.
