Guerlain Eau de Cologne Imperiale was created by Pierre-Francois-Pascal Guerlain and launched in 1853. It is a delicate floral citrus fragrance that features top notes of orange, lemon verbena, neroli, bergamot and lemon; a middle note of lavender; and base notes of cedarwood and tonka bean.
It was the very first Eau de Cologne by Guerlain and was specially composed for the Empress Eugénie, wife of Napoleon III. It was also the first made-to-order fragrance in perfumery as it was created by special order solely for the Empress Eugénie to treat her migraines.
Fragrantica: "Perfect after shower summer scent. Extremely royal smelling. Makes you feel like a ruler of old."
Fragrantica: "Wow, what a beautiful uplifting scent this is! Fresh, green, sparkling lemon and lime with bergamot and neroli. Very citrusy and natural."
