Guerlain Jasmin Bonheur joined the L'Art & La Matiere collection from Guerlain in 2022. A joyous jasmine creation from Delphine Jelk, it has notes of apricot, bergamot, jasmine, orange blossom, rose and iris. Guerlain Jasmin Bonheur is an EDP, eau de parfum.
From the brand - "Delphine Jelk, Guerlain Perfumer, takes the beguiling delight of jasmine and floods it with sunlight. This daring approach unveils a trail bathed in the light of southern France, a region once beloved by Henri Matisse. 'If Jasmin Bonheur were a masterpiece, it would be a creation by Henri Matisse.' A born painter of happiness and sublime master of color, Henri Matisse was one of the greatest artistic minds of the 20th century. “Drawn directly into color”, as the artist put it, his masterpieces exude an irresistible joie de vivre."
Fragrantica - " loved it from the first sniff and went back to the boutique after I left to spray some more on me. So the SA gave me a sample. Next day I put it on and realised why i was liking it so much, because of the familiarity to Chanel 1932, which I love (which is similar to Chanel Chance Eau Tendre). very good sillage - a group of 3 women approached me to tell me how they could smell the amazing perfume as they walked behind me and how they were just following me to know the name of the fragrance!"
Fragrantica - "It's not often that I read a company's press copy on a perfume and think, yeah that's it. But with this scent - on my skin, on warm spring day - they pretty much nailed it: "joyful composition of notes, including bright orange, symbolized by apricot, and lively violet, represented by pink iris. Color, as well as soft pink roses, set off the colorful fragrance of jasmine, intertwined with the fragrance of Guerlain to create a happy atmosphere". Check!"
Fragrantica - "It reminds me a lot of 1932 by Chanel. A lightly smoky jasmine with its hot breath facet sweetened by apricot. Rose and iris are supporting in the background adding more floral element."
Fragrantica - "At first I didn't understand what was so unique, as the opening is a very common "jasmin tea", the same that you will find in DS Durga Jasmin Yucatan or Kilian Imperial Tea to name a few, but after 10-15 minutes, the iris starts to pop up to really bring the Guerlain iris DNA, which to my nose is quite close to the beauty of Cruel Gardenia. That being said, I find that it is well-crafted and a generally beautiful scents."
