Guerlain Joyeuse Tubereuse was released in 2017 and joint the L'Art et la Matiere series. The fragrance takes its inspiration from the tuberose flower and modernizes it. Openign with green notes, the floral heart of lily, jasmine and tuberose make it buttery, sitting atop the Guerlain vanilla base. It is not a big old tuberose that whacks you over the head (not that that is a bad thing, my love Fracas!) it is lighter without being too light.
Created by Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk. Notes of green, tuberose, lily, jasmine, sandalwood, vetiver, vanilla. Joyeuse Tubereuse is an eau de parfum
From the Black Narcissus - "Tubereuse Joyeuse feels neither retro nor blandly synthetic, nor cod erotic and drowning in unnecessitated musks and woods and all the usual crap. Instead, it feels quite freed up – and indeed happy, and liberated ; crisp, self-consciously optimistic, and up to date."
From Perfume Posse - "Who doesn’t love a creamy vanilla tuberose? It’s everything you expect from the La Matiere series. Vanilla base, creamy florals. Nothing ground-breaking or earth-shattering or freakish, but it’s just so preeeeeetty! Yeah, when did I stop being a critic? When something is pretty, of course. That’s all the description you get. You know what these are like, and this follows the signature, and you can wear it anywhere and be perfectly happy and content and know you smell gorgeous."
