Classy!

Guerlain Vetiver Cologne has become the standard vetiver scent in the world of mainstream vetiver scents. Created in 1961 and relaunched in 2000, it is old school and modern - classic really never goes out of style. Perfect to wear for work or for an evening out, it is green and a little creamy with citrus.
Notes of lemon, tobacco, vetiver, nutmeg and pepper. It is an eau de toilette, edt.
From What Men Should Smell Like - "Vetiver begins as Jean-Paul Guerlain intended. It is the morning. I feel I am in a citrus orchard surrounded by lemons, oranges and bergamot. Within minutes neroli is the bridge between the fading citrus notes towards the developing spices. Peppers and nutmeg score the edges of the composition creating a gritty texture to what would otherwise be like a smooth pebble. As vetiver gradually builds, the tobacco note permeates rather than wafts. For me it is more the scent of tobacco left in a jacket pocket, rather than the scent of a freshly lit cigarette. Tonka bean is sweet and powdery, rounding out the composition in a classic Guerlain style."
From Reddit - "Black pepper, nutmeg, leather, and dry tobacco leaves each blend with an enhance the strengths of the vetiver, allowing it to evolve without weakening. You go from a field in the tropics to a spice market, a tobacco shed, a tannery, a tour of different slices of life. It's brilliant, absolutely brilliant and when people talk about a fragrance evolving this is one of the best examples out there. There is no start/stop for any note, it's all smooth progress."
From Influenster - "This is in my top 5 fragrances of all time, and perhaps top two. It is the most perfect Vetiver fragrance around - there are others that are stronger, more complex or even more 'interesting' but this is THE VETIVER for anyone getting into fragrances and wants to purchase a work of art."

A friend I have known for 20+ years wears this as her signature fragrance and each time we would get together (3 or 4 times a year), I would ask her what she was wearing. After getting her blessing to try it myself (I hate to be a copycat as I associate people with scents, I too have become hooked. The scent is delicious and heavenly. It isn't overt or bold. It is sensuous and light and has a lovely lingering effect. A truely unique and unisex scent. And now people are asking me what I am wearing.
