Nelson launched in 2022 and is a green, woody scent featuring eucalyptus, sandalwood and American cedar. It draws inspiration from a place where the woods meet the waves. Picture yourself standing on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean with a towering forest behind you. Nelson captures the freshness of eucalyptus colliding with a warm base of sandalwood and American cedar. It is a light, fresh wood scent that sits close to the skin. Nelson is inspired by a favorite modern cowboy who happens to be one of Guy Fox's best friends and the real life Nelson loves the great outdoors.
Nelson features notes of citron leaf, eucalyptus, green cardamom, black pepper, fresh juniper, clary sage, lavender, sandalwood, upcycled American cedar and patchouli. It is an extrait de parfum.
Fragrantica: "Great for fall into winter. Lasts long on fabric. Took a hoody off after spraying my neck in my car and a week later found it. Smelled string still very pine scented with citrus. Found Guy Fox in a random surf shop in Florida and this one stopped me in my tracks trying the selection out. It is exactly what I’ve been looking for out if a cologne. A more citrus/pine masculine cologne with long lasting power."
Fragrantica: "Nelson sorta surprised me. The initial opening gave me a hint of apple - not what I was expecting. It started to smooth out as the lavender and base woody notes appeared. While I was able to pick out some of the individual notes, the overall impact is of a really nice, smooth, creamy and fresh scent. Cedar was probably the prominent woody note, but it was still well blended with the rest as to not be too strong, or smelling like hamster bedding or cedar mulch. Yet, the patch and sandalwood weren't very strong either. The eucalyptus in the opening wasn't strong - no vapor rub scent. I guess everything was just nicely blended resulting in a pleasant, masculine and versatile scent that's also fresh but not sour. There were shades of the far dry down of Palmer here but Nelson is the superior scent. Longevity was good coming down to a still noticeable skin scent by the 10th hour while projection is more moderate - something that would make it very good for office and close quarters use."
Fragrantica: "Middle aged Georgia cowboy here: Just got in my fragrance sampler and Nelson is the 10th one I'm trying. Impressed with this one. Similar to Palmer below but a bit more of an iced tea vibe in the middle. (9/10) (piney/woodsy/sweet ice tea vibe)"
Fragrantica: "Out of the 10 Guy Fox fragrance samples I tested... Nelson is my #2. It kinda gave me pine forest vibes, but in a sexy, classy way. Super fresh, very dry woody, clean guy scent. No sweetness here. The only other Guy Fox fragrance I loved more (not including Nightcap and Riviera) is JP. Highly recommend Nelson for sure."
Fragrantica: "Got two sample packs from Guy Fox. All pretty good - lots of clean soapy scents - but Nelson was an immediate favorite. Ordered a bottle and it’s now in heavy rotation. The way I’ve been kinda describing it is like a bizarro cousin of Aventus. In the opening instead of pineapple you’ve got a greener more dank fruit you can’t quite place (I’m guessing the eucalyptus + citron) and in the dry down instead of a smoky birch you’ve got a gorgeous dry cedar. ALMOST incense-y. Idk it’s really lovely, great performance and sillage, nice price. Have gotten some compliments from friends and strangers."
