Description

Hearth is described as: the warm glowing center of home. Autumn's last apple pickings, warm bread, orange rind, fire roasted nuts, cracked black pepper all nailed down by an oozing sticky benzoin. It is an eau de parfum, edp.

Haus of Gloi is owned by two vegans devoted to the lifestyle and their perfumes are highly concentrated fragrance blends of only the best absolutes, essences, essential oils and fragrance oils.

HAUS OF GLOI HEARTH REVIEWS

Evolution of a Foodie: Now this I was not expecting to love so much! I might want this in a whipped soap too, or a full size. It's apples, oranges, a touch of pepper, and it just smells like the fruit of fall. If you wanted to like Olde Cider Haus, but wanted something more fruity, this is it. There's none of the cider spices, but just a fruity apple scent with a hint of orange. After dry down, you can smell the benzoin, which is supposed to have a similar scent as vanilla.

Reddit: Initial Sniff: This smells exactly like your local home/furniture store's autumn candle section. It feels like every fall note possible thrown into one room with you inside of it. The apple note is red, juicy and sweet but not too sweet. You can smell a hint of a dark brown nutty bread and black pepper. There's so much warmth to every note and the orange is subtle but adds extra juiciness to the apple. The longer this sits, the less "candle" store feeling you get. Drying Down: The apple gets juicier and the individual notes start to melt together like they're being stirred into the a big pot over a cozy fire. Initially, I find this to be one of Haus of Gloi's more complex gourmands with many different notes dancing in and out of the foreground. This maintains a warm and comforting feeling as if there's a snowstorm outside that cannot touch the cozy fire and warm spices. A Few Hours Later: A rich, creamy caramel blossoms out of the scent and turns this into a delicious mouthwatering gourmand. It's a buttery, sweet, apple caramel with a hint of spice. The black pepper has faded and made way for a more simple but more decadent butterscotch. The juicy apple and orange rind lends a hint of brightness which keeps this new note from being too sweet. Hearth is the ultimate autumnal gourmand trip in my opinion.

Reddit: I really like this one and it's my favorite of the perfume oils I ordered. There's a deep nuttiness to it, like smoky, fire-roasted almonds and hazelnuts. In fact it almost has an amaretto smell to me that comes out more after a few minutes of wear. I can smell the apples a little bit too and also a wisp of citrus. The strongest scent is just this intense sugar smell that overlays everything. It reminds me a lot of HoG Pumpkin Eater but replacing the pumpkin with nuts.
