Reddit: Wet: Strong burst of cinnamon and brown sugar sweetness. Something reminiscent of rum raisins. Dry: Strong cinnamon note recedes after about 15 minutes, making way for the realistic sticky and thick porridge scent to take the center stage. Brown sugar is light and cinnamon toast takes on a more buttery and less dominating role. Becomes more buttery as it wears. Delicious and comforting. Final dry down is pure, lightly sweetened and buttery steel-cut oats with the faintest hint of cinnamon. Thoughts: OH MAN, this is good! Mama’s Porridge is a super realistic foody that has my mouth watering! It starts off with VERY strong cinnamon, but within 15 minutes, it calms down to a thick and authentically comforting oatmeal scent; this is not instant oatmeal, but cooked-on-the-stove, gooey porridge perfection. I want to gnaw my own arm off!
Spicy Fox: I can smell the oatmeal, butter and brown sugar when I open up this sample. Already it smells like oatmeal sweetened with sugar and milk. Wow, I can smell the cinnamon and sugar as I put this on wet! That cinnamon is lovely, its not too spicy but has been blended expertly with the sugar. The scent of the oatmeal blended with milk is lingering underneath the cinnamon. This makes me imagine the oatmeal my dad used to eat in the mornings when I was a child. He’d liven it up with some sugar and cinnamon, exactly the way this smells! Already I love this due to the cinnamon scent! Mostly all I can smell now is that cinnamon note combined with the sugar. The buttery milk and oatmeal notes are wafting sweetly underneath the cinnamon and sugar, but they are not as strong. I wish I had nabbed a full size bottle of this when I had the chance, but I see that its sold out on their website. Darn.
