Reddit: "This was a surprise hit for me. In fact, I didn't even order it; it was the free sample. I had heard that the patchouli in this was strong and off-putting; I have also heard patchouli compared to "dirty hippie" and even "fungus" quite a bit, so I have stayed clear of it. But I really like this scent! It is STRONG: right now I have it on the inside of my left arm, Selkie on my left wrist, Ploughman on my right wrist, and Honeybelle on my left inner arm; and the whole time I have been writing this review, I keep getting whiffs of Ruth and nothing else. In the bottle and upon applying, it's rose. Like distilled, bright, demanding rose essence. I've been wearing it about an hour now and I still get that quite a bit, but the strawberry has also come through; it's very fresh and green, as if they're talking the whole strawberry plant, fresh juices and blossoms and crushed leaves and all. I don't get any violet from it, but there's something sweet and lovely almost like vanilla underneath all the green florals. To me, this scent is loud and fun, but I will probably not be wearing it a ton just because it's so strong and I think some people would definitely find it... weird smelling and overly pungent, to be honest."
