Description

Hermes Un Jardin en Mediterranee  - The description of the Un Jardin En Mediterranee is a very watery, green flowery and light fragrance. Based on a walk through a Mediterranean garden, it smells like being in the middle of beach somewhere exotic. This scent is a result of the perfect combination of notes. Un Jardin en Mediterranee features top notes of lemon, mandarin orange and bergamot; middle notes of orange blossom and white nerium oleander; and base notes of cypress, fig leaf, musk, red cedar, juniper and pistachio. It is an eau de toilette, edt.

Reviews of Hermes Un Jardin en Mediterranee from noses that may or may not sniff like your nose does.

From whatmenshouldsmelllike - "What begins as a bright burst of citrus and fruit gradually transforms into a woody almost tea-like scent with undertones of mature fig. This lollipop opening of lemon, mandarin, orange and bergamot is what I have come to expect from the Jardin fragrances and is something I enjoy. The floral heart is described, as orange blossom and white oleander while the more robust notes are fig wood and cedar."

From olfactoriastravels - "It opens with rather sharp, almost too sharp for my liking top notes, that go away in ten minutes or so, which is when this gets much more friendly."

    Glorious

This is one of the best things I've smelled in my entire life. This is exactly what I was hoping existed somewhere out there. The name is shockingly accurate; I say this because I’m a gardener and into the plants found in the Mediterranean.

Unobtrusive and one of my absolute favorite scents!

Hermès Un Jardin en Méditerranée Winding down a coastal cobbled street, taking in the sea air brimming with freshness and salinity. A cool breeze lightly lapping across dampened skin, wafting the scent of wood and leaves mingling with jammy and dry powdery fig leaves and fruit. It is not completely sweet, nor dry. Rather, it is somewhere in-between. It’s really a lovely and refreshing, soft watery fragrance. There’s something softly sensual and alluring. The powdery fig is grounded and has a dusty or dusky quality. It is not at all like talcum or baby powder. For the most part, it stays close to the skin and lasts around five hours or so. Every so often, someone else will catch a lilting flick and comment, “You smell good.” I do understand some other reviews mentioning a syrupy note. While it does not pull syrupy on me, I see how it can pull that way on some. For me, it’s unobtrusive and one of my absolute favorite scents. Thank you, Surrender to Chance and other fragrance sampling sites. It’s so nice being able to try before committing to full bottles.

    Amazing in the summer

It's nice enough in cooler weather, but the heat brings out this amazing salty tomato stem note in it. Slightly sweet without seeming edible. Absolutely perfect for a summer day.

    A fig tree in Paris

This is a very elegant scent, strong on fig/fig leaves. A tad too masculine for my taste.
