The title roles of five great operas inspired Histoires de Parfum's new Opera Collection. Originally released as pure perfumes, these fragrances named after five divas, are now available in eau de parfum.. Some scents like some melodies still lead in the air, intangible and yet unforgettable. Music and perfume operate with the same dynamic; they travel their notes in an ephemeral and intangible space. Gerald Ghislain is passionate about opera and wanted to add to his collection of fragrances inspired by great figures of literature.
1890 Queen of Spades is named for the Tchaikovsky opera La Dame de Pique (known in English as the Queen of Spades) based on the story by Pushkin. It features top notes of coriander, pepper and orange blossom; middle notes of rose and jasmine; and base notes of patchouli, leather, incense, amber and musk. This is the pure perfume version of this fragrance.
