Madrona is a fragrance born of the Pacific Northwest. The Madrona tree, whose bark itself looks like it was forged of polished bronze, lends more than just a note to this fragrance, it lays the roots of its name. With notes of lavender, cedarwood, vetiver and madrona, this fragrance is 98.8% natural and was released in 2015. Madrona is an extrait de parfum.
Created by founder and perfumer Christi Meshell, House of Matriarch's fragrances are made using the highest quality, certified kosher, natural ethanol distilled in Washington (from organic apples and grapes) so they will continue to smell better and better with time. Halal approved.
HOUSE OF MATRIARCH MADRONA REVIEWS
Fragrantica: Strong lavender with a green earthy punch and an underlying base of dry smoky vetiver (I see why people say incense because of this). I don't really get fruity or particularly marine with this, more of a wet mossy feel and kind of a leathery aspect lurking around. It reminds me of the Tom Ford "Vert" collection, not like one in particular from that range but I could see this as part of that group as it has a bold green genre presence like they do, and considering this is all-natural it lasts an impressively decent while also.
Fragrantica: This opens up with a strong, natural smelling rich dry lavender. Very aromatic and beautiful, mixed with a rich vetiver note. There's something ever so slightly spiced about it! I smell a violet-like note, which I found out is actually orris! Soft and slightly sweet.. just a delicate light floral note mixed with vetiver and lavender. All together, it's one I really like a lot! It's my favourite lavender based scent so far from any house. Very aromatic, herbal, rich, totally unisex.
