Imaginary Authors O, Unknown was released in 2017, created by Josh Meyer. Notes of black tea, lapsang souchong tincture, orris butter, Kyoto moss, musk balsam, and sandalwood.
All of the Imaginary Authors have a story that accompanies them. Here is the story of Imaginary Authors O, Unknown from the Imaginary Authors website: "At age 65, when famed explorer and author Philip Sava was given less than a year to live, he set off from his home in Madagascar for parts unknown. Leaving all his belongings behind, he set off on foot, hopped a freighter across the Indian Ocean, and wandered into the Bangladeshi wilderness. His journey, which lasted over a decade, took him through Nepal and Tibet where his exploration turned spiritual and into rural China where months of solitude resulted in some of the most confessional observations ever committed to paper. This is the story of a man grappling with the meaning of life as he grasps at life’s last vestiges.'"
Imaginary Authors O, Unknown is an eau de parfum, edp.
Fragrantica - "Sweet, dry, powdery, with a distinct note of old, dusty paper. My formative years were spent in the Latin library of the Classical institution of my hometown university - this perfume smells just like A Concordance of Ovid. I ordered a full bottle because I'm moving into this perfume and staying there.."
Fragrantica - "It has a smokiness borrowed from the in house lapsang souchong tincture that settles into the well documented sensation of make up wax to become very reminiscent of the inside of a well used leather purse. Definitely an indie fragrance at heart and not for everyone but I'll be buying a second bottle as back stock."
Fragrantica - "This smells like a dusty box of old sepia photographs from the attic that hasn't been opened for very long time, and now all the people in the pictures are dead, and no one remembers their names anymore. That...and something vaguely sweet. A perfect fragrance for graveside funeral services in the rain under a black umbrella."
