Jean Paul Gaultier Classique eau de toilette blends ginger, orange blossom and vanilla per the Gaultier website, a totally delicious fragrance. This is an Oriental Floral Fragrance and lists notes specifically as orange blossom, star anise, rose, mandarin orange, pear and bergamot; mid notes of ylang-ylang, ginger, orchid, tuberose, iris, plum and base of vanilla, amber, musk, cinnamon and sandalwood.

The original (this one) is infinitely best, I'm not keen on any of the flankers and trust me, over the years I've tried them but I always return to this one. This lives up to it's name, I think it's up there with all the timeless perfumes as it stands on it's own and it holds it's own style and sassiness. I haven't put my nose on it recently, but I remember just adoring this perfume. It was bold, but not too overbearing. And while I wore her year round, she leaned a little rich so now I'd avoid high temps. There are probably a lot of people who says she smells old lady, but I never got that wearing her. The opening was strong, but I was always complimented for smelling good"
