Lalique Encre Noire Pour Homme Review

Fragrantica - "Wet, earthy, leafy forest. And.....it smells just great."

Fragrantica - "One of my absolute favorites, it might be my absolute favorite. A masterpiece, dark, elegant, sophisticated. A dressed up scent for sure. I get ink smell along with vetiver and woods, all wrapped in a beautiful dark and smokey smell."

Fragrantica - "One rainy day on a road in the heart of a tree-lined forest, drizzle dripping into the car room, the car window is open and Chris Rea whispers the song And You My love. This perfume is a major part of this scenario, with a bitter, masculine scent. And memorable."

    Wonderous

Very woody and green, smoky like scotch peat, inky almost like a ballpoint pen, but mostly woodsmoke. Like a seaside campfire that went out an hour ago. I saw this described as RBF in a bottle and I can definitely see that. There's something that makes you feel powerful as a woman wearing such a traditionally masculine scent

    Encre Noir

I have no other way to describe Encre Noir so that you understand exactly how it smells, other than to say that this smells like Dracula. As soon as you smell it, there is, at the same time, both this sweet, charming seductive quality, and also a bitter, earthy, soil-like scent that’s subtly reminiscent of death. It’s strange, alluring, dark, and off-putting all at once. For this reason alone. I would not, could not wear Encre Noire, even if purchased for me as a gift. But for anyone who fancies sweet, dark, seductive scents, or smelling like the Prince of Darkness himself, especially at its price point, Lalique’s Encre Noir is definitely worth it.

    The smell of autumn

A slightly rank/green vetiver charred with the suggestion of loam, smoke from burning rubber. It is pretty similar to BBW Black too, (or Black is a due of EN) but richer and deeper. I would consider this a perfect unisex smoked vetiver scent. Dark, smoky, burnt. I like it a lot.
