L'Artisan Mure et Musc Extreme was released in 1993 (the original is from 1978), created by Karine Dubreuil. It features notes of black currant, blueberry and musk.
From Fragrantica - "This is masterfully done. The fresh tartness of black currant and berries juxtaposed by the delicate ozonic musk is simply to die for."
From Basenotes - "I don't like fruity scents, so I often wondered how can you possibly wear such a clearly fruity scent as Mure at Musc. Then one day I smelled a field of berries under the summer sun on the mountains and I understood! This is smell of summer!!! And Mure et Musc is a real, perfect, natural reproduction of it. So if you want to get that summer glow even in the middle of winter ... wear Mure et Musc!"
From Bois de Jasmin - "What differentiates Mûre et Musc from earlier perfumes exploring the same theme, such Jovan Musk (1971), is its ingenious fusing of a blackberry note into the musk accord. While the synthetics nitromusks favored in the first half of the century are marked by soapiness and floral warmth, many musks that became popular in the second half possess distinct fruity facets"
