Les Indemodables Cafe Arabesque was released in 2026. Created by Antoine Lie, it is centered completely on coffee and benzoin. Notes listed are roasted coffee beans and benzoin. Other lists include peach, rum, berry, cocoa, toasted hazelnut, coffee, sandalwood, benzoin, myrrh and vanilla - and this seems somewhat or mostly right. They used 6% Brazilian specialty coffee ultrasound extract, 1.1% New Caledonian Sandalwood Album Oil and 0.8 Laotian Benzoin large tears resinoid. Rich and pungent, heavily roasted, and it vaguely reminds me of the long gone and much loved Tom Ford Amber Absolute, but I cannot imagine why. Les Indemodables Cafe Arabesque is an EDP, eau de parfum.
From the brand - "We are the first perfume house to commit to a responsible approach within this emblematic supply chain, and we are proud to present this new creation – a true ode to specialty coffee. Antoine Lie drew on his lived experience, which allowed him to discover coffee from a new perspective, as close as possible to its terroirs and their nuances. This creation plays on contrasts, belongs to the oriental family, and enhances the olfactory complexity of this exclusive coffee extract. The composition opens with fresh, vibrant notes that instantly evoke the aromatic, woody, and liquorice facets of a characterful ‘ristretto’. Yet this construction is not merely vertical; it gradually reveals a creamy ‘mochaccino’ accord, with subtle hints of cocoa powder and lightly roasted hazelnut. The base unveils a sensual and highly addictive trail – an elegant and refined fragrance that creates an irresistible desire to reapply."
Les Indemodables Cafe Arabesque Reviews
Fragrantica - "As someone who isn’t keen on a coffee note, I don’t actually mind this, it doesn’t smell like burnt coffee which is great, but it does smell… somewhat… old. Like an antique jar of coffee beans from the 1930s you’ve unearthed from a forgotten basement."
Reddit - "What an incredibly rich and decadent coffee fragrance, smells so warm and inviting. Closest I can describe is that it smells like the air of a very homely and highly rated coffee shop in a log cabin that sells fresh baked goods alongside freshly brewed coffee. A place you’d go with a nice book and warm sweater just to allow the smell of the air to relax you. My wife smelled this in the air and stopped dead in her tracks. Has some nice spices in the opening but moves into that thick benzoin roasted coffee smell quickly. If you are into coffee as a note this one is a GO. 10/10 "
