Maison Martin Margiela Replica Beach Walk is inspired by a stroll by the ocean, toes digging into the sand, with the rolling waves receding, warm sun on your skin with a little bit of salty ocean in the air. It was launched in 2012
It features top notes of bergamot, pink pepper and lemon; middle notes of ylang ylang, transluzone (fresh aquatic molecule), heliotrope and coconut milk; and base notes of musk, cedarwood and benzoin. Beach Walk is an eau de toilette, edt.
Replica by Maison Martin Margiela is the reproduction of familiar scents and moments of varying locations and periods.
Maison Martin Margiela Replica Beach Walk Reviews
From Allure - "It starts out smelling warm and coconut-y, with a zing of lemon that's bright like the sun. (One editor said it "smells like sunscreen but a zillion times more sophisticated.") As the fragrance dries down, however, all the sparkle and hard-core coconut evaporate. What's left is a velvety, almost milky scent that surprises you with a bite of pepper that you feel way up inside your nose each time you sniff. It sounds weird, but it smells really wonderful."
From Basenotes - "Living in South Florida (Miami) for many years and being VERY familiar with the beach, Beach Walk reminds me of Copertone suntan oil of the 70's. I do smell the coconut mixed with the ylang-ylang and heliotrope. It is sweet and creamy. To me this fragrance IS the beach."
From Makeup Alley - "I dislike most "clean" or "beach" scents, and was surprised I liked this one so much. On me, it smells like Coppertone sunscreen + baby powder, with a slight fresh young coconut vibe (not synthetic coconut - ew). The combination of scents has a very clean and refreshing and sweet feel without any particular portion being dominate. I like this, it smells "Well rounded" - not like soap, or chemical sunscreen, or floral scents with strong alcohol evaporation. It's very "happy" without trying too hard."
