Maison Mataha Escapade Gourmande Grand Cru was released in 2026, created by Vincent Ricord. Notes of Cristal vanilla absolute, Peru balsam, black sugar, tonka bean absolute, Bourbon vanilla absolute and musk. Escapade Gourmande Grand Cru is a richer, more concentrated take on the original Escapade Gourmande (2016): it is an Absolu de Parfum at 35% concentration, it uses two vanilla absolutes (Cristal and Bourbon) for more richness and texture, and it adds Peru balsam to the black sugar, tonka and musk of the original.

Fragrantica - "This is a 10/10 for me, I don’t normally like gourmands but this is an ultra sweet gourmand that my collection needed! I described it as rich, fluffy, soft and creamy pancakes drizzled with light, golden syrup, with shavings of caramelised brown sugar and icing sugar, like a thick layer of sugar on crème brûlée. It is very dense & heavy but not cloying, it’s gorgeous still kinda of airy & layering this with deep dark ouds. Perfect!"
Fragrantica - "I actually decluttered the OG Escapade as I ended up finding it really harsh and scratchy. This is a much better blended, enjoyable, smoother version. I do get a hint of playdoh or touch of almond. I do really like this. It’s way better than the OG but it still won’t be a full bottle purchase for me, as it isn’t something I feel I need. It’s very well done though."
