Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier Vocalise is a floral fruity gourmand that was launched in 1993. Inspired by the Bel canto divas (Italian-originated vocal style that prevailed throughout most of Europe during the 18th century and early 19th century), Vocalise is part of the Les Accords Mysteres collection. It is a romantic red fruit and vanilla symphony with top notes of blackcurrants and raspberries; middle notes of blended florals including rose and ylang-ylang; and base notes of vanilla, sandalwood, musk and ambergris. Vocalise is an eau de parfum, edp.
Fragrantica: "The immediate differences are subtle notes of warm sandalwood and musky angelica taking everything down an octave, making the accord richer and rounder, ylang-ylang soothed into concert with the other notes."
basenotes: "Sometimes you just want to smell nice and like you know your way around a perfume counter without smelling like you're perfumed for a night at the opera in a ball gown or reeking of some smoky niche weirdness, and Vocalises gets this smart middle ground perfect."
