Mancera was created in 2008 under one of the largest perfume distribution companies in the Gulf States – Al Athar. The creators of the Montale line of fragrances also played a role in the creation of Mancera. As an Arabian perfume company their fragrances feature heavily in notes such as aoud, saffron, rose, leather and resins. This line has only recently come to the United States.
Wind Wood is a unisex woody scent that leans a slight bit more masculine. The fragrance unfolds slowly and you can enjoy the top, middle and base notes very distinctly. The leather in the base notes is very light so this is not a “leather” scent. It's more like a walk through the woods in the early morning.
It features top notes of mandarin, pink pepper and green notes; a middle note of purple patchouli leaves; and base notes of vetiver, cedarwood, oakmoss, amber, leather and white musk. Wind Wood is an eau de parfum, edp.
After the dry-down, I did feel a soft woody scent I find sporty. Considering the base notes of vetiver, white musk, cedarwood, oakmoss, amber, leather and patchouli, I expected something more. It has good staying power as the woody scent softens on the skin.
