Oh, ooOoh...oh is a perfume composed as a folk song ballad, inspired by California, made on wind, wood, mist and guitar. The American hinterland, a wooden house stands in front of the ocean. The wild and immense nature is covered with a foggy veil. The heat of a chimney fire inside. Tall trees and shrubs take on the smell of smoke from an Indian camp in the distance. The trail of bitter oranges spreads between tall grass. With top notes of artemisia, juniper and bitter orange; middle notes of cedar, grass, labdanum cistus and sequoia; and base notes of leather, incense, smoke, moss and musk. Oh, ooOoh...oh is an eau de parfum, edp.
MILLER ET BERTAUX Oh, ooOoh...oh REVIEWS
Now Smell This: It goes on smelling spicy — as if you took some super-aromatic gin and boiled away the alcohol to accentuate the aromas of juniper berries, pungent citrus peels and herbs in the liquor (there’s a wonderful-smelling cinnamon-pepper component too). Oh, ooOoh…oh’s opening also reminds me of a rich, dark amber-colored artisanal ginger ale I drank recently; its vibe is warm and comforting…but not heavy. As the perfume dries down I smell leather (with maybe a touch of saffron), musk and a beautiful sequoia/cedar accord supplemented with silky-smooth, sweet smoke. (If you love the Comme des Garçons incense line, do try this.) It is a well-blended perfume; all parts combining seamlessly during its development. This is a subtle perfume — long lasting on skin, but not very diffusive. On the days I wore Oh, ooOoh…oh, I got more compliments (most delivered on elevator rides) than with any other perfume I’ve worn in a long time.
Fragrantica: Juniper, a hint of smoke, musky green aromatics and woods (with a ghost orange in the background). All very delicately blended, nothing harsh, sharp or that jumps out. Just a delightful blend, leaning masculine. Performance is overall moderate, making it an ideal scent for a sensitive professional setting.
Fragrantica: YUM! Somehow this scent comes across as both playful and joyful to startl it's not just the name. Very fresh and green. A little mouth-watering, but also a little soapy. The woodsy-ness is very mellow but still the star of the show. I've actually hiked through the California redwoods and sequoias; this is a terrific snapshot of how it smells. After a few minutes, it mellows into a very cultivated, bonsai garden spa version of its forest smells. Cedar is the strongest note on me, but with a great supporting cast. It's definitely masculine. I picture a good-looking, dark-haired guy wearing this fresh out of the shower and lounging.
