Neela Vermeire has loved scent from her childhood growing up in India. After living in Paris for many years, she created her first fragrance collection, using the skill of Bertrand Duchafour, based entirely on the smells she remembered from India.
She started with three fragrances - Trayee, Mohur and Bombay Bling, each representing a different period of time in Indian history - the Vedic era, Mogul and British Rag. Modern India is represented by the rich materials used.
Bombay Bling represents the British Raj period of Indian history. Eclectic, joyous, this is the scent that expresses much of the sounds and feel of India - a jangle of contrasting things that shouldn't go together, but do. Bombay Bling has notes of Mango, lychee, blackcurrant, cardamom, cumin, cistus, Turkish rose, jasmine sambac, ylang-ylang, tuberose, plumeria, gardenia, patchouli, tobacco, sandalwood, cedar, vanilla.
