Le Regent is an amber unisex fragrance that launched in 2020. It features top notes of benzoin, tolu balsam and peru balsam; middle notes of benzoin, vanilla and ambergris; and base notes of opoponax, leather and guaiacwood.
Le Regent is a perfumed tribute to The Regent diamond, a 140.5 carat diamond considered as one of the most beautiful diamonds in the world. It is the first fragrance in the "Jewels of the Crown" collection which explores the 18th century archives of the Maison Oriza L. From Undina's Looking Glass: How does Le Regent smell? Firstly, it’s BIG! An over the top, smooth, resinous beauty. Amber amped up by some fabulous bells & whistles that take it well up to the next level. The very slightly briny ambergris adds so much texture and depth. Unisex, extra large silage and longevity. Advised to use sparingly until you know how it blooms on you. The Oriza boys have hit this over the fence.
A lovely comfort scent along the lines of Sylvaine Delacourtes Florentina. Soft vanillic with muted resinous base and tart note to lift it. Faintly powdery but not in a baby way. I love this but i detest most powder notes. A perfect bedtime scent.
Le Regent wears on my skin in milky vanilla, resinous benzoin and bright tart notes that make me want to bathe in it, and I wear my perfumes in tiny doses most of the time. really a warm, comforting scent while still being elegant and not sugar candy sweet. The resins temper the sweeter notes and the whole is a complete mood. Love it.
