Penhaligon's Changing Constance was launched in 2018 as a part of the Portraits line. Centered on vanilla, it has notes of cardamom, pimento, caramel, salt, vanilla, cashmeran and tobacco. It is an eau de parfum, edp
From the brand - "Constance is what one might call A Very Modern Woman. She has no regard for custom, and does exactly as she likes. Cool cardamom, hot pimento, salted caramel – her contrary perfume breaks every rule."
Fragrantica - "I am writing as a male reviewer who owns this perfume. Changing Constance is THE Caramel perfume for me, its not overly sickly sweet/overly gourmand (i'm looking at you Shay & Blue + "What About Pop" The House of Oud + other Victoria Secret-esque body sprays). The spices involved keeps the scent light and airy and keeps the perfume from leaning too childish or synthetic. Its a grown up scent that evokes nostalgia and festive seasons, some would say this lean feminine but its rather unisex tbh. Its a scent that stays rather close to skin, which is what i prefer when it comes to a scent profile like this. Its a perfume for you and your loved ones who will be in your personal bubble. You will get wafts of it as you move around so don't expect this perfume to perform like a Kerosene perfume cuz it won't. A scent that certainly puts a smile on your face!"
Fragrantica - "Yummy. it tastes like caramel popcorn. But what's not childish is the tobacco and cardamom in it. Caramel popcorn for adults. It's a scent I like to wear in the fall."
Fragrantica - "I love it because it reminds me of my mom..not in an "old-fashioned" way. But in the sense that it's warm, soothing and comforting. Smoothly feminine and lightly sweet. Not cloying at all. Very airy and fresh. Fantastic blend."
Fragrantica - "My ride-or-die, sexy, sweet but not cloying, scent of burnt caramel sprinkled with spice. Vanilla adds some softness here. Leans feminine to me, but I can imagine men wearing it as well. Intoxicating."
