Prescriptives Calyx was launched in 1987, created by Sophia Grojsman.  Calyx is a refreshing, flowery fragrance.   Clinique bought Prescriptives (2013) and this fragrance is now known as Clinique Calyx, but is the same fragrance.   Notes of green leaves, guava, passionfruit, grapefruit, papaya, mango, mandarin orange, lily of the valley, marigold, lily, freesia, neroli, jasmine, rose, oakmoss, vetiver, orris root and sandalwood.  This is the older Prescriptives Calyx.

Prescriptives Calyx Reviews

Fragrantica - "The first hour of Calyx on me is volumptuous. Fleshy, sexy. Then it settles down and buttons its blouse. Once the fruit recedes somewhat and the scent integrates itself, it becomes that rare thing: both fresh and rich."

Fragrantica - "This is such "Happy", cheerful fragrance. Absolutely unpretentious. The freshness of grapefruit without being sour or sharp. Tropical, but not fruitpunch-like. And just enough warmth so that it's not an "eau fraiche". Long-lasting."

Fragrantica  - "This is certainly not a scent I expected to love but I was very pleasantly surprised! To me it reads as: Grapefruit, guava, green leaves and rose, in order of intensity. This sweet/sour/bitter accord quenches a thirst I didn't even know I had. I wear mostly heavy, darker, smoky frags and this is the perfect antidote to all that. Smelling Calyx is like taking off your glasses, stepping away from the computer, and going for a walk outside in the fresh spring air."

Calyx is a classic citrus fragrance. Working in offices in the 90’s, the trail of Calyx wafted down the hallways. A friend of mine wore it and Calyx was her signature scent. I never thought about wearing it. It was hers. Revisiting it made me realize that this lovely grapefruit floral works on my skin. And based on a post on Fragrantica suggests or states that Calyx was original intended as a unisex scent. All Prescriptive reps were asked to wear it . I can’t confirm this statement but I would have worn than and I’m going to wear it now.
