Wrath by Antoine Maisondieu is an intense and smoldering fragrance where sharp spice, dark woods, and animalic warmth collide. Powerful, controlled, and dangerously seductive — a fragrance that burns beneath the surface rather than exploding outward. The fragrance opens with a sharp strike of pepper and green notes, creating a dry, almost electric tension that feels immediate and alive. At the heart, mimosa and lavender introduce a softer layer — but not comfort. Instead, they feel muted and slightly ashen, like calm after heat, adding depth without removing intensity. As it settles, guaiac wood, tobacco, and patchouli form a dark, smoky base, enriched by vanilla and animalic notes that bring warmth, weight, and a subtle, feral edge. Fragrantica: "After I sprayed it on my skin, the first scent that hit my nose was a fizzy, peppery note and an immediate fresh, green crispness. It has a nice amount of fizz and airiness—it's not sickening and not so pungent that it makes you sneeze. After a while, Mimosa becomes prominent, as does Lavender. But the highlight of this one is that once it dries down, the incredibly handsome aroma of light tobacco, soft wood, and a slight hint of sweet vanilla makes for a perfectly balanced, lightly smoky quality. I secretly love it, and its cap is beautiful too. The Satan model is extremely fierce and gorgeous, and I paid for it immediately without overthinking it."
Fragrantica: "The first impression upon spraying - Chanel Edimbourg. A similar fresh spiciness with a touch of sweetness. Later Wrath gets sweeter and thicker and loses the resemblance. For me it is not "fiery" or "angry". It is an aromatic fougere in the opening with a slightly sweet woody drydown. Very pleasant."
