Profumo di Firenze Buontalenti is an amber vanilla unisex fragrance, launched in 2019. A posh gourmand, it has notes of banana, apricot, red fruits, peach, coconut, vanilla, raspberry, cookie, toffee, caramel and musk. We kept running into this as a comparizon to Simone de Andreoli Glaze Ecstasy, so we had to try it! Profumo di Firenze Buontalenti is an eau de parfum, edp.
Profumo di Firenze is an Italian line of fragrances by the Galardi family. Their first fragrance was created in 1954. In 2004, (50 years after the fragrance was launched) Enzo Galardi decided to renew this fragrance as a gift to himself. He brought to life a new olfactory project and between 2004 and 2010 he enlarged the line of fragrances and added three new fragrances to the classic Florentine cologne.
Fragrantica - "Wow, how can anyone hate this? It smells like you scooped coconut ice cream into a waffle cone, topped it with diced up fruit, and drizzled caramel sauce over the top. If you don’t like sweet gourmands, it’s not for you. But for gourmand lovers, this is paradise!"
Fragrantica - "Very prominent coconut + banana (so it's double creamy from coconut and banana notes), and raspberry! In the dry down caramel becomes very prominent and coconut calms down, and the dry down is my favorite part! It's yummy"
Fragranticas - "Get a piece of birthday cake (white and yellow layers), decorate it with candied fruit and buttercream and coconut vanilla frosting. Put it in a blender with a tall glass of milk and pour it into a tall glass and drink it with a cookie. That is Buontalenti!"
Fragrantica - "Banana split sundae with extra berries, caramel drizzle instead of hot fudge, shaved coconut flakes and crumbled cookie topping. Absolutely delicious. You will smell like a literal snack. Great sillage and scent bubble, longevity could be better, but not too bad. Shines in the heat! Yum!"
