This is a 1.8ml Puro by Nejma carded manufacturer's sample. The Puro line was inspired by Christian Bousidan, co-creator of the Nejma perfume brand, a great lover of cigars and rum. While on a trip to Havana he experienced a magical moment that he wanted to share it with others, but could not find the words to do so. This unique feeling has been transformed into a perfume that takes us to another place, another time. Seated by the Malecon on the terrace of Havana's Grand Hotel Nacional de Cuba, a Partagas cigar in one hand and a glass of 7-year-old Matusalem in the other he experienced a unique moment in which time stood still and he felt transported to the Havana of a bygone era.
The top notes are striking, evoking the freshness of a Mojito and the richness of aged rum. Then comes the spicy bouquet of cinnamon bark and clove stem, with its sense of coziness and familiarity. At the same time, the exotic and vibrant feel of the Caribbean is subtly brought to mind by a chord of cactus. Finally the fragrance reveals it heart; a genuine Puro Cuban cigar enhanced with mahogany and vetiver. A sensory experience that will take you back to the intoxicating, dimly-lit cigar smoking salons of old Havana. It features top notes of pure Cuban rum, Mexican lime essence and crushed mint leaf; middle notes of cactus sap with subtle notes of prickly pear and cinnamon bark; and base notes of Cuban cigar leaves with mahogany and Haitian vetiver root.
