RETRO - Coty Badinage PDT
Year Introduced: 1964-65 - Feminine
Notes: Citrus notes and floral notes
Well looks like we have a bottle of Coty perfume that's completely unknown. I can find no information on it on the Internet or any of my Coty books; not even as part of a list of fragrances that Coty produced. This bottle is in a grey and beige striped box with gold accents (see photo at top of listing). We also have a bottle of Muse in this same packaging which I'm assuming is from the 1960s.
The only information I could find is that there was a trademark filed for Perfume and Toilet Water for the name Badinage on September 20, 1965. The registration date was December 6, 1966. In the trademark information it said that the first use date was November 6, 1964. The trademark is now expired.
The definition of Badinage (a borrowed French word) is witty or humorous conversation; playful repartee or banter. This fragrance is a citrusy floral. We are decanting from an unopened original parfum de toilette bottle.
