Coty launched Nuance in 1975. It is a seductive, gentle fragrance that is just a bit soapy, a bit musky and a bit sweet.
Nuance was Coty's answer to what perfume the modern 1970's woman would wear. Coty played up individuality as it advertised that the fragrance would give each woman something of her own signature scent. There advertising slogan was "If you want someone's attention, whisper." Nuance is still a very sought after fragrance.
The face of the fragrance was actress Sean Young.
